BSG.CS.01214 — Cloth Seal, CR, Charles I ?

Found in Braunton, North Devon, 23mm.

CR ligate, three mullets above and below // blank but both sides have a cloth weave imprint

Although there is no crown above the initials this may be an alnage seal for Charles I or II. The two-disc format would suggest Charles I. The cloth weave imprint on the outer surface is usually found on seals attached to cloths that have been calandered.
