Arms of Amsterdam, Lombardic inscription around (A?)EMS... // ship with sail and flags front and back

The absence of the Maximillian crown above the arms means that this seal pre-dates 1489. The style of the cog ship is also an indication of an early date, possibly even the last quarter of the 14th century.
