DAMPF MUHLEN with A.G. beneath suggest a German steam mill manufacturer - see here and Szczecin iron foundry which was also known as Stettiner Dampf-Muhlen AG. See other corn triangle seals - this is the first found with the number 1 in the triangle (others have been 8 or 0). PEST may well be for BUDAPEST. The principal industry of Hungary is flour-milling. The number of steam-mills, which in 1867 was about 150, rose to 1723 in 1895 and to 1845 in 1905. Between 3,000,000 and 3,200,000 tons of wheat-flour are produced annually. The principal steam-mills are at Budapest; large steam-mills are also established in many towns, while there are a great number of water-mills and some wind-mills.
