Eight petalled flower head, .AOUT. curving downward above, 1888 curving upward below // Eight petalled flower head, .CYLIND(H?)(F?)(O?). curving downwards above, (D?)OW curving upwards below.

French classification based on month of August flower head at centre being a common design for French seals but no product or company yet associated with this seal.

Daniel Slowik has provided this connection - Nord Moulins de Don showing it undoubtedly to be a flour bag seal.
