BSG.BS.00610 — French, Bordeaux Customs Seal

Found on the Isle of Man, 40 x 34mm, 41.0g.

Large ornate bulla type seal with one side stating BUREAU DE BORDEAUX. The other side has three fleur di lis in a central circle or oval crowned and surrounded by a twisted rope that in turn is surrounded by a linked star border. Between this starred border are some letters - (ERMES?) DU ROY and at the lower edge opposite the crown a cross pattée.
