From Paul Cannon, "The following is from an advert in the Northampton Mercury of 1 August 1930. “CAUTION: When buying sparking plugs, specify “Lodge” and refuse any that is offered to you as Lodge unless it is packed in a metal box sealed with a lead seal bearing the name Lodge. None other carries the maker’s guarantee”. The advert carries an illustration of the box and seal in place. See The British Newspaper Archive. The following is a history of the firm and the images also include one of the metal box with seal Grace's Guide, British Industrial History."
