B. Bardin Seal, Image by StuE, Found by Craig Carter.
16-18mm. 6.1g.
Both sides of this seal appear to carry the same design consisting of a continuous raised line circular border curved around the inside of which is B.BARDIN with a small 5 petalled flower head either end separating it from another word written the other way up. Only the beginning and ending letters can be seen - AL(G?)-----ON
Possibly this company found at Board of Trade: Companies Registration Office: Files of Dissolved Companies:- Company No: 162669; Bardin Ltd. Incorporated in 1920. Dissolved between 1920 and 1932
From the above records held in the NA it dissolved in 1927 but had ceased trading five years before that. The head office moved from Walthamstow to East Croydon and finally to Leatherhead. Annoyingly no mention is made as to what it traded in or rather it had the standard wording of the time that goes on for pages and covers every conceivable business!
