COMPAN(IA) / HUA(NCH)ACA / DE / (B)OLIVIA // five pointed star above crossed axe and other tool
Identified by Paul Cannon, "I think this reads ‘COMPANIA / HUANCHACA / DE / BOLIVIA’. The company was founded in 1873 (or date sometimes given as 1876). It was a re-founding of the Compania Minera Huanchaca de Bolivia, originally founded in the 1830s. Huanchaca is a town in the south of Bolivia at the centre of an area with large silver and other metal ore deposits. It has the 2nd largest silver mines in the world. The company was involved in developing the industrial interests of Bolivia. As well as its main interests in mining it was involved in the construction of railways, particularly to the mining areas, telegraph lines and other public improvements.
I cannot make out the other image for sure but it might include an axe, possibly linking it to mining."
