Double Headed Eagle Seal, Image & Found by ACQ.
Found in South West Spain, 21 x 17mm.
Oblong bulla type seal with a double headed spread eagle on one side and the numeral 4 on the other. Next to the 4 are what appear to be three dashes and a pellet with possibly a further squashed pellet.
This seal was probably attached to a sack or bale or even a chest - The double headed eagle does not help us much as it was used by the Byzantine and Holy Roman Empire and adopted by many countries and cities later - Russia, Austro-Hungarian Empire, many of the Bulkan states, towns in the Netherlands and even Spain during the House of Habsburgh dynasty.
