From Paul Cannon, "I believe 'Messrs D Martineau and Sons' were major sugar refiners in London during the 19th century. See 'Free Trade in Sugar: a Reply to Sir Thomas Farrer' by George Martineau (1889), bottom of page 148. The same list of London sugar refiners includes H Tate & Sons and examples of their seals are also recorded on Bagseals."
